TRACKS is dedicated to creating safe, welcoming, and inspiring spaces for young people to explore and grow as artists. TRACKS promotes collaboration and youth empowerment.

We will be bringing a taste of our open mic to the busker tent with acts from across our projects! Why not support the next generation of artists and come and see what they have to offer? TRACKS support young people to find their style and make the music they want to make. You will hear a mix of genres by young artists from every corner of our city!

TRACKS ensures that all young people have the opportunity to unlock their creative potential.

13:00 – 13:45 – Juliana Day Live Set – Juliana’s music uses a haunting combination of the lower family of recorders, whistles, vocalisations, found sounds and field recordings, building up looped layers and ambient, improvised textures. Described as “fascinating and contemplative” (Jazzwise), her music  takes influence from choral music, folk music, minimalism and artists such as Tim Hecker, Kali Malone, Steve Reich, Ichiko Aoba, William Basinski and Pauline Oliveros.

14:45 – 15:15 – Anna Tempest Live Set – Anna Tempest, singer songwriter – Anglo German Siren core, brewing a heart filled sad girl storm from the depths of the Colne valley. As moving as the rising mist, chilling as the blackened waters, soul stirring as the windswept moorlands. LoFi guitar melodies and warm vocals bringing together local folklore and nature in dreamy songs.

15:15 – 16:15 – Tunes 🙂

16:15 – 17:00 – Wolfpeaches Live Set – Wolf peaches is a queer Sheffield based artist who melds together emotive songwriting with ethereal landscapes. Finger plucked guitar and husky voice will take you on a journey into the surreal and surprising. These are politically fuelled reflective songs, floating in dream scapes and grounded in a deep respect for life. However, be prepared to be taken into a co-created universe through improvised song. Expect the unexpected.

18:00 – 18:45 – Sunflower Thieves Live Set – Rooted in sisterhood, childhood friends Amy Illingworth and Lily Sturt-Bolshaw found their feet in the musical hotpot of Leeds to form Sunflower Thieves. Gathering plaudits from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Radio X, Clash, The Line Of Best Fit, Atwood Mag & more along the way, they released their debut EP ‘Someone To Be There For’ in 2022 and follow up ‘Same Blood’ EP in 2024. New single ‘Overdose’ out now !

A DJ workshop open to all at the Sheffield Food Festival 2024. Drop in and join
Creative DJ School for this inclusive event.
You will learn some of the fundamentals of DJing in real time, while the music
continues to entertain the festival goers with support from Creative DJ School.
The aim of the workshop is to get you having fun with mixing as soon as possible
and have the opportunity to perform mixes in front of an audience.
No experience required, just a love of music
